Health
At Jacaranda Grove Pre School we take a wholistic approach to the health of our children and staff. We beleive that physical education goes hand in hand with nutritional education and together with parents we can make a difference to the future of the children we educate.
Whilst it is important to adhere to the health, nutrition and hygiene practices of our policies we go beyond this by educating our children in developing good choices in their decisions regarding food intake and excercise which will instill in them the importance of good health for the rest of their lives. Children of this age are most vunerable to forming habits, here at Jacaranda Grove we want those habits to be good ones.
Another part of our Health care is ensuring we protect children from any kind of virus or illness that may be going around, for this reason we ask parents to keep children at home during times of sickness.
Inviting health professionals to the service such as dentists is also part of our campaign in teaching children good health. As you can see in the photo the children are taking part in a hands on dental awareness excercise and practicing brushing teeth whilst Margo from Pacific Smiles looks on encouraging correct brushing techniques.
